Product, space and communication design

This field of study is offered at the Faculty of Design – full-time, first-cycle studies

The studies on this faculty allow for the development of both sensitivity and artistic imagination, technical and intellectual skills. Students learn about the history of art and design, as well as philosophy, and have the opportunity to participate in lectures and conversation classes. The studies teach a way of thinking and acting that consists in openness to challenges, curiosity, a broad view of the surrounding world, the ability to constantly learn and question the existing reality. The first two years of study allow students to master the basic skills that designers need in their daily work. Students learn to shape form and function, make mock-ups and prototypes of objects, master knowledge of technology and construction, as well as the basics of visual communication. At subsequent stages, using the skills they have acquired, they carry out assignments in design studios run by teaching staff that include people active in the design field.
