Five perspectives
- Ada Krawczak delves into typographic areas, manipulating the lettering and meaning of words.
- Magdalena Malena Jankowska reinterprets hyperrealism, creating a story about a family home in Sopot, where the space of the open sea contrasts with the narrowness of Warsaw backyards.
- Małgorzata Ruszkowska presents the classic formula of graphic visual identification for musician Piotr Damasiewicz.
- Aleksandra Grabowiecka uses the traditional method of screen printing to present abstract organic forms.
- Maria Krupa creates biomorphic installations that explore the essence of the source and the meaning of our spirituality.
Unique micro-stories
Each of these artistic micro-stories is unique. The common denominator for the artists’ experiences was meeting at the Academy, developing interests through their first year of study, and discovering new artistic identities. The title of the exhibition 'Affirmations’ focuses our attention on unexpected, atypical creative directions, where artistic deviations from the norm become a source of constant inspiration. Each of the works on display is an abstract distortion of reality, provoking reflection and interpretation.
