Painter, draughtsman, graphic artist, academic teacher; educated at the Faculty of Graphic Arts, Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, 1987-1992; honors degree at the Studio of Poster Design under Prof. Julian Pałka, and minor in painting at Prof. Jerzy Tchórzewski’s studio; PhD at the Faculty of Painting, Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, 2000; Dr hab. (Faculty of Painting and Graphic Arts, W. Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, 2008; Professor of Visual Arts, 2018.
He has run Studio of Drawing at the Faculty of Graphic Arts of his alma mater, since 2010. Head of the Department of Painting and Drawing at the Faculty of Graphic Arts and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Graphic Arts, 2012-2016 and 2016-2020. Rector’s Representative for Research and Quality of Education, 2017-2020.
Member of the expert team (in the field of art) at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, 2011.
Author of several dozen exhibitions and critical texts. Winner of several awards and distinctions in art competitions in Poland and internationally.
